Most of the products that we sell are too big or too heavy for regular Parcel Services to handle. A trucking company (common carrier) is the delivery method of choice for this type of equipment. If your equipment fits on a lift gate, the carrier will lower it to the ground. If your equipment is too large for a lift gate, the carrier will only move it to the back of the truck. You are responsible for unloading the equipment off the truck and into your building. Please make sure that you have adequate help and/or equipment (forklift) to unload the freight.
Regardless of the care and precautions taken by us, damage can occur in shipping. It is important to be sure to note any shortage, damage; including any rips, tears or dents on the crating/packaging, on the delivery receipt prior to signing it for the driver, and call Bush Refrigeration with the details. This puts the financial responsibility on the freight company for any damage. Once it is signed that the freight was received in good condition, Bush Refrigeration will have no recourse with the freight company and will be unable to repair or replace your equipment.
All boxes and packing materials should be saved, as they, along with the damaged merchandise, will need to be inspected by the freight company before a claim is resolved. If you have any questions, please call Bush Refrigeration.
